This weekend I’m wrapping up outlining and prep work for Jamaica Rum, my upcoming pirate historical fantasy! Be ready for rum, wenches, sea battles, duels, and a rollicking good time!

In 1674, the hero, Diego Cargrave, is half-English, half-Spanish, and eking out a living as a sailor on a merchant ship. When a fast ship full of armed men races towards them and raises the black flag, he and his fellow crew have some quick choices to make.

One of those choices might lead to a sharp fight and the tender mercies of cutthroats, but another might lead to becoming a pirate… and the hangman’s noose!
